I want to be transparent about my earnings here on Medium.
December 2023 marked my third month on Medium, and I’m happy with my progress. I typically dedicate about 2–4 hours per day to Medium, engaging by commenting, highlighting, and clapping on stories that captivate me. I connect with like-minded writers and forge new online friendships. I aim to publish around one story per day — sometimes more, sometimes less. Writing is my passion; it’s my me-time. It allows me to sit down, listen to meditative sounds, and write from the heart.
I don’t have much of a social life, and in fact, I would say I don’t have real friends in my life. Please don’t feel pity for me. This is a choice I’ve made. I used to have hundreds of Facebook friends, many so-called friends, and I used to be very social, but I wasn’t happy in my heart. After experiencing numerous psychedelic journeys, I found inner peace, and I’ve come to appreciate solitude. I spend nearly all my time with my two kids and partner, and I love this life. We travel and explore the world together. There’s little time for superficial chit-chat or going out for coffee or cocktails — incidentally, I don’t even drink them anymore. But let’s get back to my earnings.
In December 2023 I earned almost $50.

On my best day (Dec 29th), I reached 225 views in just one day — pretty good, wouldn’t you say?
It’s fascinating that some of my highest-earning stories don’t receive many views or reads. For instance, the story Merry Christmas! Or Not? had only 9 views and 3 reads but earned a relatively good - $2.87. I have no idea how this works, but as long as I earn, I’m happy with it. lol
As you can see, I only earned about $4 in my first month, and in the second month, I made just about $9. In Dec I earned more than $40, which is more than 10x in just two months. I wouldn’t complain if it continues like this.
Also, in my second month, my account was under investigation for fraud for about two days. It was a setback, but it had a happy ending; otherwise, I wouldn’t be here now.
I am excited to have become a Friend of Medium (FoM) too. I believe this helped me a lot.
In the beginning, I wasn’t sure but I am always going to try out new things.
