My Account Was Under Investigation Or Was Found In Violation Of The Medium Rules
On the morning of the 25th of November, I was barely up when I saw the shocking notification:
I started this account on the first of October, 2023, and put quite some effort into it.
My Output on Medium
I write about 1–2 stories per day, using ChatGPT for grammar checks, as English is not my native language. I generate all the pictures I use myself with an AI creator page (hotpot.ai), and I love writing.
Medium — Online Income
The possibility of earning money doing something I genuinely enjoy sounded too good to be true, but I had to give it a shot. In my first month, I earned $3.96. I know — not the best start, but hey, it’s a start.
In November, my numbers began improving steadily. It seemed like I was gaining momentum, possibly reaching at least about $10 for the month. However, the unexpected occurred; I couldn’t comment or publish anymore. My account was under investigation.
Immediately, I reached out to the Medium Help Center, explaining the situation and hoping for the best. About two days later, they responded.
When I read this email, I felt so relieved. My channel wouldn’t be deleted, and I could continue my Medium journey.
As I looked through other stories and comments, I discovered that this is something that might happen occasionally due to a filtering system implemented by Medium. Perhaps it could have ended differently for me if I hadn’t reached out. I’m just grateful that it had a positive outcome.
