They Can’t All Be Good Days
Today’s random word is Household.

Because drabbles are short, please consider staying on this page for at least 30 seconds. I’d love to know you were here. 💕
I remember when my children were young, all that rushing around. It was the time for must-haves and need-to-dos.
My household was busy. Now, it’s my children who lead hectic lives.
Today, life is calmer. It’s just my husband, Sam, and our collie, Maizie. If I didn’t have a dog to walk, I might stay in bed for a lifetime, reading books—fact and fiction—helping me visit faraway places, both real and imagined.
Today, I have things to accomplish.
Mental note: I must remember to call the mortuary. Last week, Sam turned blue. Now, he’s stinky.
Remember to visit Fiction Shorts often daily so you don’t miss my daily drabbles and those of other deserving drabblers.
Nancy Oglesby writes, “If you are unfamiliar with a drabble, it is a fiction story of exactly 100 words.”
To make the challenge more interesting, each day, she gives a random word prompt.
Don’t miss out on today’s drabble.
If you’re looking for this month’s prompts, Fiction Short’s got you covered.
Here are the participants and supporters of my varied challenges who permit me to tag. Please show their stories some love. (Please let me know if you want your name removed from or added to the list. Either is easy to do, per your request. All you need to do is ask in the comments or a note.)
