These 70+ Publications Can Boost You!
Using these pubs increases your odds of getting that sweet, sweet booster juice

Are you dying of boost envy? Would some booster juice quench your thirst nicely? Or are you just a nosy arse like me?
*EDIT — I have since made a new list. I didn’t update this one as nobody would see the update. But I didn’t delete this one because I know a lot of people have it saved/bookmarked.
Well step right up folks, it’s a boostapalooza of a listicle coming in hot. I won’t waste too much of your time (just 31 seconds, because…reasons) but here are a few notes about the list of publications with boosting powers below:
- Posting in these pubs does not guarantee a boost, but it can get you on the radar of a boost nominator.
- Being on the radar of a nommer doesn’t mean anything. I know a small gaggle of them, but you have to write something boostworthy to even be considered (*note to self: write better shiznit).
- You do not have to publish your story in these pubs to get boosted. But if you don’t then a booster has to magically find you somehow, so it’s better odds.
- I’ve linked to their submission guidelines (where/how to apply to be a writer) if I can find them.
- Some of the topic labels are jokes, because making lists is mind-numbingly dull. But I’m confident you can figure out the topic of pubs like History of Women and Book Cafe.
- I recommend bookmarking this list because it’s Medium and you’ll never be able to find it again (‘Who wrote that thing about Medium’s new big-money program again?’).
- This list isn’t an exhaustive list of pubs with boosting powers. There probably are some others. This is just all the ones that I could find (and I looked pretty hard!).
Making these lists is duller than a rusty spoon, and takes a surprising amount of time. But I want everyone to have the same opportunity to get boosted.
If you appreciate my dedication to going cross-eyed and half-blind doing this, please give me the clap, highlight the most boring word you can find and/or tell me your favorite joke/pun in the comments.
