That time I get to spend with you- That’s what gives me reason to be- That’s what I live each day for. That time is the only time I can be in comfort- It’s the only time I don’t have to worry- It’s the only time I feel safe.

The reason I endure the not being able to speak, Or to feel, or to exist, It’s all so that I can sit there with you and speak as though I’m perfectly fine. With you I can speak as though I’m perfectly fine. Without an ounce of hesitation or holding back, I can put myself on display without fearing I’ll be ripped apart.

It was as though I was sat beside the sun, And its warmth was slowly rubbing off on me. I only wanted to lay there and fall asleep in its dimming light But I didn’t want to waste a single moment, For each felt like a light-year of travelling at the speed of light.

If I take two more steps on a different route I’m afraid I’ll lose you forever So I bind you to my life in many different ways And hope and pray those ties don’t burn.
