100 WORDS
The Year That Was — Terrific!
Thrifty Words 100 Challenge #87: ‘Wrap Up’

On 20 March, I married my best friend of 13 years at Vikings, the biggest buffet in the Philippines.

I went to Korea to visit my awesome grown kids for what should have been two weeks, but the new rules for the new normal dropped it to 10 days.
I flew to Maine for three months in July and saw my first best friend, Aj off to meet Jesus.
I spent most of my time with my sisters and Walter but had one terrific, four-day weekend in NH with my brother, his wife, their son Lucas, Hannah, and grandniece, Charlie!
I know I missed a bunch of shit, but it’s only 100 words for an entire year.
If you’re wondering why my wife didn’t go to Korea and Maine with me, she started her last year of college and internship to become a Medical Technician.
However, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention I spent a terrific two days in Pesumkuk (which is Wabanaki for Bar Harbor) with my first-born daughter and grandson, Kaden.
I got to go to my grandniece’s wedding and a reunion with my classmates from the class of ’74 at Pat’s Pizza. Thanks, Jodi!
Thanks to The Bad Influence and Melissa R. Mendelson for providing the prompts that keep us writing.
This is my contribution for #86: ‘Gratitude’
