The Three S’s For Growth

A letter From The Editor

Good Morning Friends!

I am Surekha.

As you see in my profile, I am an avid reader, a mother of two grown-up children, and a lover of food and Photography.

I was lucky enough to publish my first Medium blog on ILLUMINATION. There was no looking back for me after that. Today, I also got the privilege to serve our loving and fast-growing community of ILLUMINATION as The Editor for ILLUMINATION, Illuminations Book Chapters, Illumination’s Mirror, Synergy, and Illumination’s Reader’s Hope Publications. I am so grateful to our Chief Editor, Founder, and Mentor of ILLUMINATION Publication Dr. Mehmet Yildiz for giving me this great opportunity to serve and grow in the Community.

This is my first letter as an Editor. I am choosing our Publication for beginners, Reader’s Hope to share this letter because once I was you. An anxious beginner with no clues whatever. I got the right mentors and support in Medium for my growth as a writer and reader.

As an Editor, I always think of improving content, giving more opportunities to our writers, and publishing great stories to delight our readers. This is an opportunity for me to work on what I love! Reading and Writing!

Readers Hope is a unique publication. It brings hope to readers.

Dr. Mehmet Yildiz

Why Readers?

Readers eventually become writers here. That is the aim of this Publication. Here readers come with much trepidation to submit their initial works as a writer. In Reader’s Hope, we welcome all of you. This is a place where you come with your dreams and sprout wings as a full-fledged writer. You will get support and guidance from the dedicated Editors of our Publication here.

Here is a heartwarming welcome post by our senior Editor, Dr. Preeti Singh.

You all must have already read the great new announcement about Medium’s New Partnership Program, starting from the 1st of August. This is the right time to work on our pursuit of making a living as a full-time writer on Medium. This is the time to learn as much as we can from our dedicated writers and mentors here.

Without much ado, let’s go directly to our topic for this post.

1. Save

To become a prolific Writer, you must read a lot. You must read the stories that resonate with you.

These topics later become your writing niche. Whenever you find a very useful article you must save it in your Reading list in the profile. You will find the bookmark icon on the bottom right of the story. Select that and save different stories under different headings. You can add more stories to any particular list. You can make it private or public. This way you can enjoy your own curated reading list and share it with others.

Here is My Reading List: Compelling Reads.

2. Share

The second tip for growth as a writer is to share the stories of fellow writers in your posts.

To share you must copy the link from the writer’s profile and paste it into your blog. Press ‘Enter and paste the link. The embed will open in your story.

Here I am sharing the valuable writing tips shared by Dr. Mehmet Yildiz distilled from his five decades of writing experience. As a writer we all want our stories to be boosted and get the right audience and appreciation.

3. Subscribe

The most important point to remember is to Subscribe to Medium. Once you are a subscriber Medium will regularly keep you updated and you will enjoy the great benefit of the New Partner Program.

Medium membership will now be a prerequisite for joining the Medium Partner Program. We believe it’s in everyone’s best interest when our writers participate in the member community, they’re contributing stories to. The best way to get a feel for the kinds of stories that resonate with members is by being a member.
