NATURE
The Special Tree In My Life
Nature prompt Ist week Of December 2022

Nature is amazing and this has been projected by our guest and distinguished collaborator for this week.
I would like to introduce to you my friend Dr. Fatima Imam on Medium since she joined our family here.
She is a well-known historian, and top writer of poetry, and fiction and she is also a nature lover.
She is a cat lover and has a wonderful pet by the name of Luke. I was very sure that she would come up with something about cats.
To my surprise, she sends me two beautiful pictures of the pink blossoms that change color.
I had written about my special tree some time ago and had I known we were going to come up with this prompt I would have definitely saved it for later.
Here is my story 👉🏼How The Alastonia Trees Became My Friends
Fatima has definitely sent me some amazing pictures. Please see the beautiful pictures and write-up below👇🏼

A Gentle Giant with the Sweetest Perfume and Coolest Shade
Trees in our backyard bring us so much comfort
Our lives are inextricably intertwined with the trees providing oxygen, stable ground, shelter, and even food. While we’re busy polluting the earth, they lovingly purify the air we’ve soiled. The mental health benefits are unbelievable when their mere sight, sitting under them, or admiring their branches instantly brings us joy, peace, and exhilaration.
Trees enhance the beauty, appearance, and energy of our environment. I’m reminded of this quote:
“To be without trees would, in the most literal way, be without our roots.” Richard Mabey
I’ve lived in different neighborhoods enjoying the warmth and coziness of many magnificent trees. However, the spectacular Eastern Redbud tree holds a special place in my heart. This spring bloomer with its pink to dark red flowers looks regal with bare branches making them a regal natural showpiece. Slowly the flowers turn into coarse heart-shaped leaves in the summer and then into buttery yellow during the fall, thus changing the landscape into fascinating colors throughout the warmer weather.
This quote encapsulates my feeling perfectly.
“Trees are poems that the earth writes upon the sky.” Kahlil Gibran
This week's prompt by Dr. Fatima Imam and Dr. Preeti Singh :
Write about a tree that is special to you; memories of it still tingle your heartbeats. We would love to read about them.
The Prompt for this week: The Special Tree In My Life
Review of Nature Posts Of Last week
Please do not forget. You must read all the posts of each other. I am sure the reciprocity will shine and make you and me happy.
I would like to thank all my dear nature writer friends for their overwhelming support in writing about the moon and other nature stories.
Many thanks to our chief editor Sahil for bringing in his beautiful perspective on a breeze. He says to be gentle with yourself and with others. Life is like a breeze so move on but keep it controlled and enjoyable.
I feel I have lived with this breeze. My thoughts and sentiments match Fatima’s. I am fresh and invigorated when I feel it on my face. It is a sense of awakening. I am alive and away from stress. Do give it a read.
The freshness of the breeze taught Cristina how to go through life with all temperance, surrender, and acceptance. It is so fulfilling to read about her love for the soft breeze. She has a lovely picture displayed reflecting her inner peace and a beautiful poem on her relationship with the breeze.
This is an amazing post on the gentle breeze and how it feels magical to Connie. She loves it rustling against her skin. She finds them like gentle kisses and while she listens to the song of the breeze she sleeps.
William feels that the breeze lifts air from the forest floor as well as our spirits. He feels alive and upbeat and bounces along the flapping leaves motivating him to start the day.
I love Joyce’s spirit of adventure. Many would not go on a hot balloon. She was there for 2 1/2 hours. and the wind decided where to go. Viewing from the top must have been enjoyable. I loved your story and the sailboats too.
Hermoine writes about her cycling experiences in nature. It keeps you fit and happy. She has clicked amazing pictures. Check out this amazing cyclist.
