The Sexiest Man According To Science
These are the characteristics that drive women crazy.
Who is the best-looking man in your opinion? Brad Pitt? George Clooney? Robert Pattison?
If you were to ask this question to women on the street, the same names would probably come up over and over again. But why? Isn’t beauty in the eye of the beholder?
Yes, but I think that the eyes of female viewers are very similar and shaped by evolution. Evolutionary psychologists assume that certain characteristics signal health and good genes. Therefore, they subconsciously show that you can produce healthy and good-looking offspring, which in turn have a good chance of reproducing. For this reason, it is in female biology to find these features attractive.
Not a Black Pill
Before I go into more detail about the individual characteristics that are most attractive according to studies, I would like to clarify something. I do not want to send the wrong message. On the Internet, especially on YouTube, there is a movement of men who struggle with dating and think they have realized the dark, unjust truth. They have more or less given up and believe that the only thing that matters when it comes to getting women is the genes. The following statements summarize well the main message of the so-called black pill movement: “If you’re not 6 feet tall, you can’t get a girlfriend” “If you’re not white and don’t have blue eyes, you don’t stand a chance anyway” “Without the perfect jawline, you are unattractive” “Character doesn’t matter. It’s all about the genes”
I want to distance myself from this very clearly!
I think the black pill is stupid. This article is meant to be informative and possibly show men what they can work on to be more attractive. Even if we can not influence all characteristics, it is quite possible to work on some of them. Your body shape for example.
Of course, it would be naive to claim that looks don’t count. It would be equally naive to claim that not everyone has different genetic prerequisites.
But first of all, you can influence your appearance. Many people who consider themselves unattractive because of their genes would probably look much better with a low body fat percentage and an athletic body. No matter how good your genes are. Putting in work can work wonders.
Be a little stronger, dress a little better, speak a little more clearly, aim a little higher- Jordan Peterson
Second, of course, it does not just your looks that count. Other things like self-confidence, humor, charisma, but also career success are extremely important. Obviously.
What Science Says
Let’s look at what are the most attractive features. Of course, these are generalizations. There are certainly many women with other preferences.
Body Type
A University of California study by David A. Frederick and Martie G. Haselton found that an athletic physique is the most attractive. Neither a skinny body nor an extremely muscular body can compete. The results of the study state:
The results across six studies support the hypothesis that muscularity is a sexually selected fitness cue. Women rated muscular men as more sexually desirable than both nonmuscular men and very muscular men, as predicted by our inverted-U hypothesis of masculine traits
Height
What we have probably already suspected is also proven by studies.
Tall men are attractive. This study confirms that. According to Men’s Health, the most attractive height of a man is 6 feet.
So size does matter. The body size certainly does.
Facial Hair
It might be worth it to grow a beard. It might be worth growing a beard. A 2013 study from the University of New South Wales has proven that heavy stubble makes a man sexiest. But read for yourself:
While ratings of masculinity rose monotonically with beardedness, the effects of facial hair on attractiveness, health and parenting ratings were non-linear. In almost all cases, light stubble received the lowest ratings, with heavy stubble or full beards judged more favorably and clean-shaven faces faring as well or almost as well. Attractiveness was the only property that males and females rated differently, but the interaction between sex and health ratings was marginally significant as women gave higher health ratings for light and heavy stubble than men. Both men and women rated light stubble as least attractive and heavy stubble as most (women) or equal most (men) attractive. However, women rated clean-shaven and fully bearded faces less attractive than heavy stubble. The fact that women and men differ significantly in how they rate the attractiveness of different levels of beardedness may reflect dual signaling functions of male facial hair.
Put the razor aside for a few days. This not only saves you time in the morning but also seems to make you more attractive.
Facial Structure
Strong facial contours are considered to be a beauty ideal. Prominent cheekbones and a strong jawline are features that attract women because they show strength, health, and high testosterone levels. This study proves it.
When I look at this picture of young Brad Pitt I think there must be something to it.

The lower your body fat percentage, the better the structure of your face will appear. So losing weight can make not only your body more attractive but also your face.
Voice
Our voice also determines how attractive we appear. Lower voices are considered more attractive to women. This was discovered by researchers from the University of Wroclaw in Poland in 2017 during a study.
We often disguise our voices unconsciously. Especially when talking to women you are interested in, you should try to use your deep, masculine voice.
