“Oh my God!” Janiel screamed, then covered her mouth.

“Can you imagine how frightened I was?” Colette states.

“Girl I would run out of there as if fire, a volcano, tsunami, and a hurricane were after me,” Janiel said.

“My heart was beating so fast, I forgot I was having an asthma attack.”

“What happened next?” Janiel anxiously demands, grabbing Colette’s hands.

Colette stared at her for a few seconds, then pulled her hands away and continued,

“I looked up at her in shock, and she realized what I was looking at; she snatched the papers up quickly. I ran as fast as I could out the door.”

“Were you followed?” Janiel asked, trying to calm herself down.

“I feared someone would run after me and pull me back in there. But I was ready to fight for my life as I was running towards my car. I entered my car, trembling and thanking God for his mercy and for my life.”

“Did anyone follow you?” Janiel quests again.

“I didn’t stop to find out. I ran as if Satan was coming!”

“What do you think happened in there?” Janiel asked.

“I don’t know,” Colette said, her memory digging deeper for answers. “I didn’t look any different going in for treatment. I had dressed professionally because I was on my way to work. I wondered if they thought I was a drug addict coming in for a fix. They had my docket; they knew I was asthmatic. What was their issue?”

“Yeah,” Janiel said in deep thought.

“When I reached work, I sat in my car for fifteen minutes shaking, and praying, repenting for not obeying the voice of the Lord. When God speaks to us, it is important to listen and obey. He knows what is best for us. When we are walking into danger, he is there to protect us, but we must listen and obey,” Colette’s conscience nagged her.

“Did you notice that you weren’t having difficulty breathing anymore?” Janiel asked.

“Girl, I was so frightened, my lungs opened up and I was able to breathe better.”

Janiel reached over and hugged Colette, then consoled, “I am so sorry you had to go through that. How can I trust our hospital and these healthcare workers who are trained to care for us? I am not going to that Twilight Zone Hospital if I get sick.”

“I don’t think you will have that experience,” Colette suggested.

“I am still not going there. And I am so thankful that God was watching over you,” Janiel expressed gratitude.

“I cannot thank him enough,” Colette agreed as tears flowed.

“Why are you crying?”

I should have known better. The Lord has been my shield and buckler. This was not the first time he had spoken, warning me of imminent danger. I should have listened. I have been serving the Lord since I was a child and promised him to always listen to his voice and obey his command. In my disobedience, he was still protecting me and looking out for me because he had a plan for my life, and it could not end in that way.”

“Yes, he is that good,” Janiel gave praise.
