For example, the lore of the Elder Scrolls series includes detailed histories of each race and culture and a vast array of fictional books, poems, and songs that flesh out the world.

The lore can also create a sense of authenticity by establishing rules and constraints for the game world, such as the laws of magic or the limitations of technology.

While video games could still be enjoyable without lore, the lack of lore might limit the potential for games to create immersive and engaging worlds that keep players invested in the game’s story and characters.

The absence of lore would make it harder for games to inspire tie-in merchandise or other forms of media, which could limit the game’s reach and appeal to a broader audience. So it is vital to make money from your game projects.
