MONTHLY CHALLENGE 1
The First Monthly Challenge Top Writers!
Honestly, it was a tough pick
There were extraordinary pieces by so many writers! With each and every one of them, I bet we can all identify all those unexpected experiences that make our days more precious. Every person is unique in their own way, and you can see it because all of the examples shared were all so different from each other. It truly was a tough decision. Here are the three monthly picks!
Have you ever dreamt of seeing a fairy? Thanks to Susan Poole, we now know they exist! The Heart Fairies are a group of women whose main goal is to spread joy and kindness throughout these harsh times. Who would’ve thought that these simple acts could affect so many people? From plastic hearts to wine, these fairies are truly so inspirational.
“During the early months of the pandemic, when people all over the globe began living in fear of the endless list of uncertainties presented by the coronavirus, a small group of women in my town decided to tackle the darkness with some simple rays of light.”
Bingz Huang’s piece will definitely cheer you up. I’m certain that you have felt that your life was much easier when you were young. Now there are so many things to do, to take care of. Why not have fun while doing so? In this piece, you can read about the importance of going back to your past and feeling the same energy. Honor your inner child, we all have a Bubbly Bingz in our hearts.
“Being an adult is hard. All of us have probably gone through so much conditioning by society, our culture, and our caregivers to become the adults we are today. And because of this conditioning, we tend to form multiple energetic shields to hide our true selves.”
Last but not least, Tamil reminded us of the power of nature and its ability to become a true gift. From bluebirds to the rustling of the leaves, we have to pay attention to these details and observe the beauty of nature around us. We just need to pay a little bit of attention to see nature’s wonders.
“The beauty of magic unveils itself only to the seekers. To those who are present in the moment. The ones who wait to welcome the unexpected.”
Unexpected things to be grateful for was the Monthly Challenge for January, can you believe we are already in February?! For this month’s challenge, let’s thank Ellie Jacobson!
Celebrating the quiet moments of love
Valentine’s Day is about the commercial side of love. Don’t get me wrong, I love a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates, but what about the tiny moments of love that fill us with gratitude? With romantic love, a friend, a family member, or a stranger even?
Don’t forget to add the tag Thank You Notes and Monthly Challenge. It can be a poem, shortform, essay, anything you’d prefer!
