The Doctor, Poetic

My contribution to the Large Long Limerick War of 2021

There once was a doctor, poetic

who in a move highly noetic

sought the wrath of the swarm

in a limerick form

and laden with language phrenetic.

So along came a Medium writer

who was really more lover than fighter

but she tried out her wit

at this combatant shit

though to do so she pulled an all-nighter!*

Now the poetic doctor, I trust

will be finding himself well-concussed

by the pow’r of my stanzas,

think them extravaganzas,

(though the writer wot wrote them’s non-plussed….)

*Not really. I was awake anyway ;P
