Summarize

The “Deluded Custodians” February Challenge

The F-month Prompt is a four-letter word, begins with “F” . . .

Write down the first four four-letter words starting with F that come to your fertile mind.

Mine:

FAKE

FREE

FORK

FAWN

(Obviously, I’m not thinking about politics right now.)😁

Let your fine-feathered or furry friend pick one of the words.

Using Dr. Gabrielle Rico’s “clustering” method from “Writing the Natural Way”, write the word in the middle of a piece of paper. Then quickly write words or phrases that come to mind. Circle them and continue on from one section to another as the words tumble from your brain, dropping on to the page.

At some point, you’ll realize you have a story to write.

Extra points if you post a photo of your clustered list.

Leave a link to your entry in the responses, or tag me.

Deadline: February 29, 2024. Midnight, PST.

The winning entry will be paid $50. *

And a Teaser Tale by May More 💜 Tales.

Example: Ziggy chose “Free” for me.

Not a good example. The result is more like a continuation of the clustering exercise, BUT it does prove that Annie Trevaskis and I are telepathically connected. 🤪🤪https://readmedium.com/american-expressions-i-dont-understand-11715e129483 — check out her response.

The winner of the January challenge will be announced by co-judges Cristina Cattai and Robert Gowty.

*This will be the last of the big jackpots. Lo siento mucho. Ziggy is running out of cookies.

The prize for the March challenge will be $10, plus any contributions made in February and March to my ko-fi account.

And a Teaser Tale by May More 💜 Tales for the winning entry.

“You had me at ‘cookies’”

One year ago in ‘Deluded Custodians’ history:

The most important info in this prompt was ‘Smillew Day’ — February 27.

Since this is Leap Year, you have three days to celebrate.

Thanks to Cristina Cattai for the reminder.
