The Cheapest Blogging Course Is Jacking Up Its Price

This is how I feel about it

The cheapest niche blogging course for beginners, Passive Income Geek, is raising its price in 12 days — May 23rd, 2022, to be exact.

In this article, I’ll share why the price is going up and how I feel about it.

Here’s the Big Price Bump

Right now, the course is $299 for the first year and $99 for each additional year.

That’s a pretty common pricing strategy for blogging courses. I’ve taken a few, so this never surprised me.

However, there’s a big change coming.

As of May 23rd, 2022 the price is bumping up to $399 to start. The yearly renewal fee will be $199.

This Is Why the Cheapest Blogging Course Is Jacking Up Its Prices

According to the course creator, the price is going up for two good reasons.

Here are those two reasons in Morton’s own words:

I want to give you guys a little quick update on my course in two weeks, right after the affiliate gathering, I am gonna raise the price with a hundred dollars. And there’s a couple of reasons for that.

So first the timing, I just wanna allow everybody participating in the Affiliate Gathering to get it at the good price.

Secondly, it’s because it’s been going pretty well. We are soon 800 people in the community. And I wanna still keep it at a pace and at a size where I can still answer a lot of the questions in the community and involve myself into

Here’s the gist of why he is raising the prices:

• Added advanced lessons
• Restrict oversized community growth

Here’s What I Think About It

Even with the price increase, this course is beyond worth it — even without the newly added content.

The course is simple and easy to follow. Most importantly, it works. While no program or service can guarantee results (there are too many factors involved), Passive Income Geek is the first course that actually helped me earn money from blogging.

As far as I know, it’s the cheapest course now, and it still will be the cheapest blogging course after the price bump in two weeks.

The Affiliate Gathering

Passive Income Geek pricing isn’t changing for two weeks because of the Affiliate Gathering.

Essentially, it’s a “comic con” for affiliate marketers and niche bloggers. 2022 is the first year for the event, which is taking place in the UK.

Morton is one of the guest speakers at the event.

So, he’s keeping the price at the same low price that he started with until the end of this conference. By the way, since this expo is in the UK, you can either go to it live or you can attend it virtually.

I plan to attend virtually.

Added Advanced Lessons

Morten just added new lessons to the original course.

In the original course, you learn how to build websites from scratch to earn money through display advertising and affiliate marketing.

Here are some of the things you get in the course:

• How to find lucrative niches
• How to come up with good domain names
• What domain names to avoid (very important)
• Topic research techniques
• How to get backlinks organically
• How to monetize your blog to make the most money

All of this information is good (I’m in the course myself), but this is where I think that the course shines: topic research and monetization strategies.

You get over 18 hours of video and text instruction — probably even more now.

One of my favorite parts of the course is called “Build with Us.”

In an additional 15 hours of video, you watch Morton build a site from scratch — picking the niche, keyword research, setting up the site, outlining the articles, and writing the articles.

This is all in the standard course.

You’ll learn SEO tips and how to write rankable content. This is another section where I think the course excels. The program also teaches you how to get featured snippets in Google search.

I’ve earned so many featured snippets with these strategies.

Some of my articles rank within a few hours. Others rank in 24 hours, a few days, or a few weeks. Both my YouTube videos and my articles rank using these same approaches.

There’s a little bit about social media.

However, the course doesn’t really focus on marketing much. It’s really about building lean, streamlined sites that can make you a lot of money. Then, you learn how to eventually build out a content team for your site to scale your earnings.

Personally, I’m in the process of building several sites.

Two of my sites earn me $2,500 or more each month. The other two are newer and still in the building phase. This phase usually lasts up to a full 12 months for brand new sites.

On the Passive Income Geek website, you can see some examples of sites made with the Passive Income Geek approach. A lot of bloggers won’t show you examples, but Morton does.

One of his bigger sites is Godownsize.com. With this one site alone, Morton makes $30,000 per month.

Therefore, I think the bumped-up price makes sense for the value you get from the course. After all, to my knowledge, it’s still the cheapest blogging program available from a top-earning blogger.

Stopgap the Community

The other reason the price is increasing is to manage the growth of the private course community.

As Morton said in his video, there are more than 800 people in the program right now (and growing). That’s a massive amount of people in the course. When you get the program, you also get access to Morton himself inside the private online community.

It’s not a one-on-one mentorship, but Morton actually goes in and answers a lot of the questions in the community forum.

There are also other expert bloggers making thousands and tens of thousand dollars per month that answer questions in the community. I check in on the community several times a day.

And I’ve learned a ton by reading the questions and answers.

Therefore, I think it’s a good idea to raise the price to slow down the growth of the community. One of my favorite parts of the program is that the forums are not too clogged and crowded.

Most likely, the program will eventually get bigger than I prefer.

But, for now, the program is simple and easy to follow. For now, the community is small enough to remain active and engaged.

Final Thoughts

I want to end where I started, and that is by reminding you that the course price is going up in 12 days.

In my opinion, the course is worth the price now (before the 12-day deadline) and it’s also worth it after the price bump. But that’s just me.
