The 6 + 1 Steps To Improve Your Self-Esteem
How many times have you wished to have more confidence?

To stand in front of a person, a situation, an event, a challenge and to feel that you can claim the best?
On the other hand, you probably know what it is like to look around you and see some people have very strong self-confidence, while you are closed to insecurities and doubts.
What Does Self-Confidence Mean And Why Is It Necessary?
Self-confidence is loving yourself and accepting your abilities, strengths, and insecurities.
Where Does Self-Confidence Come From?
Why do some people look confident while others are full of insecurity and doubt? What can I do to help build my confidence?
Self-confidence is not a gift from birth that you either have or will never get! It is an acquired characteristic of a person’s personality, which develops by changing or adapting, mentality and attitude towards life.
Self-confidence is an element of your personality. It gives you courage, strength, and confidence. When you are confident, it does not scare you to take risks, to try new things, to face situations and challenges in any area of your life. Self-confidence is .. emotion and attitude of life.
When you are confident, you do not allow other people’s comments, thoughts, or reactions to influence you and you do not take things too personally. Most of us have a laid-back attitude when it comes to painting a picture about ourselves. Could the living conditions have been such, that our self-confidence was reduced or even disappeared?
The 6 + 1 Steps To Develop Your Self-Confidence
1. Think About Your Achievements
Even if you have experienced failure in your life, there are some achievements that you are proud of. These do not have to be large. They might be small and simple things… anything! Write them down in a list so you can easily refer to them.
These are your conquests. Thinking of these achievements helps you realize that you have experienced success in your life, and not everything you have done has failed.
So this will make you feel better about yourself and your life so far and will improve your self-confidence. You will also remember how you did it; your strategy, your plan, your strength.
2. Focus On Your Goals
Why fill your mind with thoughts of failure? If you continue thinking about failure, you are more likely to be attracted to it and this will lower your self-confidence. Face the negativity you have in your mind with positive thinking.
Imagine for a second you were transposed into the karmic-driven world of Earl. Feel the emotion and hold it. Inflate your chest with pride and strength and lookup. This will help you attract success and develop your self-confidence.
3. Think About The Talents And Skills You Have
Spend some time each day recognizing the talents and skills you have. Discover them and think of ways to develop and use them.
4. Strengthen Your Will
Lack of self-confidence goes hand in hand with a lack of willpower. When you strengthen your will, you also increase your self-confidence. Stronger willpower means more self-confidence, more self-esteem, and more confidence.
5. Break A Big Target Into Smaller Ones And Get Into The Action
Set small and simple goals that will help you get where you wish; to complete a big goal.
Small daily conquests, with plan and method! Record every small success that will bring you closer to completing a big goal.
This will gradually significantly enhance your self-confidence and will feel even more confident and strong with your choices.
6. Develop A Positive Attitude Towards Life
Instead of focusing on negative facts, and waiting for the worst-case scenario to happen, start focusing on the positive ones and expecting positive developments and results.
If your mindset has always been negative, this might not be easy at first. However, with perseverance and willpower, you can build this positive attitude towards life.
It would help if you try to remove all the negative words and phrases from your mind and vocabulary and avoid using them in your conversations not only with other people but also with yourself.
What About Gratitude?
Start a “Gratitude Diary”, and spend 2–3 minutes every night expressing 3–5 things in your life that you are grateful for. Write them on a piece of paper. The power of written language has proven to be stronger than oral speech.
Little things like the smell of freshly baked cookies, hugs from your children, as well as bigger things like a positive development in your work or a conquest. There is no limit to the number of things you can be grateful for.
Make these steps, daily habits and see a huge change in your attitude towards people and life. Change can start today.
