Abstract

The article titled "The 3 Types Of People You Must Avoid For Your Mental Health" discusses the detrimental impact certain personalities can have on an individual's well-being. It categorizes these personalities into three types: those who constantly lament, the commentators who critique everything, and the debaters who seek to engage in exhausting arguments. The article underscores the significance of prioritizing mental health and choosing to associate with positive influences.

Opinions

  • The author believes that some individuals can drain one's energy merely by their presence or actions.
  • Lamenters are characterized by their tendency to complain incessantly about trivial matters.
  • Commentators are seen as negative due to their habit of contradicting or criticizing others' opinions, such as dismissing a positive view on Tesla stock.
  • Debaters are viewed as the most extreme, actively seeking arguments and refusing to back down until they feel they have 'won'.
  • The author advises readers to avoid debaters entirely, as they can turn a bad day into a disastrous one.
  • Aldric emphasizes that the world is already filled with noise and stressors like emotional volatility, so it's important to not make social interactions more difficult than they need to be.
  • The article suggests that prevention, in terms of avoiding negative personalities, is better than seeking a cure for the emotional damage they may cause.
  • Aldric's perspective is influenced by his background as a consultant, where he values making complex issues simple and believes that clarity leads to growth.

The 3 Types Of People You Must Avoid For Your Mental Health.

Some of us have bad days. Others have perpetual negative vibes.

We know it. The moment that person comes close, our surrounding gets cloaked in negativity.

There are those who siphon our life energy no matter what they do. They might be able to suck your previous energy without doing anything.

There are 3 types of such personalities.

Type 1 — Those Who Lament.

They lament about everything.

The skies can be too bright, the temperature at the shopping malls are too low, and the food they eat is not well-cooked even though they are chewing cashew nuts.

Avoid them.

Type 2 — The Commentators.

They have a lot to say in response to what WE say.

Maybe you think that Tesla is a good stock. They will give you a million reasons why it is a bad choice.

A bad day may turn out disastrous.

Type 3 — The Debaters.

They are a deadly extension of Type 2.

While the commentators derive joy from giving their 2 cents worth of opinions, the debaters are out to crush you.

They are looking for a good fight and want to engage in an ideological back-and-forth with you until you acknowledge that they are right.

My opinion on debaters. Avoid them at all costs.

We live in a noisy world. There are too many things we have to cautious about, such as emotional volatility.

Interacting with people is tough. For our mental health, we do not need to make it tougher.

Choose who we want to mingle with carefully!
