Thank You to the Rain
Don’t you dare dodge the drops

I’ve always loved a day of rain, even the lightning, and the thunder. The chance to slow down and meditate.
The smell of soil and fresh beginnings we can only imagine. Curling up under grandma’s patchwork quilt made on a rainy day a lifetime ago.
Guilt washes away, reading a book all day.
These days a rainy day is not about me, but a need. Drowning in a drought, trying to stay afloat in the darkness.
Thank you for the rain to soothe our souls and nourish nature around us.
Put the umbrella away. Find play again.
Make a splash. Don’t you dare dodge the drops. Connect with your roots when a rainy day meant laughter in the mud.
The younger you will thank you.
Rain is grace; rain is the sky descending to the earth; without rain, there would be no life. — John Updike
