Dear Lovely Writers and Readers,
What a glorious week it has been! As the sun pours in my home office window, I feel awash in all of the love you have shared here within our home at Thank You Notes.
Each week that goes by, I have the honor of reading your loving words and publishing them here. I am always in awe of the stories, poems, and notes that come across my desk.
Thank you all for allowing me to be your editor.
I appreciate each one of our writers and readers. You make our home special. It is a place where you will receive a loving embrace in the form of a thank you note. That is our mission here, to uplift humanity with words of kindness.
As we continue to celebrate our beautiful mothers or people in our lives who have stepped in as mothers, I invite you to this week’s prompts:

I welcome all thank you notes, poems and stories this week. Our mothers were our first teachers, and we can appreciate with kindness what we learned from them.
There are also many other mothers in our lives. They may have been a mentor, a teacher, a host mother in another country, and more. Let us appreciate and applaud them too.
We also always have the following sections as ongoing prompts for you to explore:
Notes: These can be photos and stories of handwritten or digital thank you notes you have received that have touched your heart. They can also be ones that you decided to write to others.
Universe: These stories or poems give appreciation to our universe, galaxy, stars, and space.
Spiritual: These stories or poems thank a higher power in our lives. We may thank life, the universe, the spirit, or God for what we have been given in our lives.
Poetry: This category features poems written to say thank you in a variety of ways. Poetry may cross over into other sections as well.
Humanity: This category spotlights people we want to thank from our past, present, and future. They can be people in our lives or people we imagine. There are so many beautiful humans out there touching our lives and helping us. Stories and poems here focus on appreciating others.
Earth: This category focuses on Mother Earth and nature. We are thankful to the Earth for the gifts we are given of air, water, and sunlight every day. Stories and poems featured here give thanks to our home planet.
Food: This category features appreciation for the food and drinks we are gifted daily to nourish us. I welcome thank you poems or stories about food that are appreciative in nature. You can write about and share recipes, especially ones handed down through your family, for which you are very grateful.
This past week we were honored by these beautiful stories, poems, and notes. Our theme last week was International friendship. I feel that Medium is a wonderful place for fostering those friendships. It can lead to peace here on Earth.
Bob Jasper wrote this lovely piece about the two Guatemalan exchange students he and his wife hosted many years ago. I loved learning about how helpful and loving these students were. Thank you, Bob, for writing this fantastic story!

Bhavna Narula shared two lovely thank you notes this week! The first one was such an honor to receive, as she wrote it to thank me. What a sweet surprise, Bhavna! Thank you again for your kindness! Her second note was in appreciation for her beautiful mother and all she did for her through the years. She is no longer on this Earth but is remembered with love. Thank you, Bhavna for sharing your life with us!
