Tell Your Story To Your Family Doctor

A professional is sometimes needed to help you with your problems, even if you feel like you don’t need it.

Family doctors are not only for making you better or send you to the hospital. They are also there for you when you have a mental health problem. You can talk to them and they will make time for you when you’re asking for it. It is very scary in the first place.

Like me, I believe, everyone has been through something. That can be small, or that can be big. I don’t know what you’ve been through! That’s fine, I don’t even want to know. But I know who should know your story: your family doctor. He or she can help you if you want to. It must come from yourself. When you are ready then you can tell your family doctor. He or she can tell you what possibilities there are.

Also, you will feel very relieved when you told your family doctor. There is something off your chest. You can make a little step forward. The step you desperately want to make. You need to make. To feel better in what you want to do and what you love to do.

Telling your story to your family doctor means that you can talk to someone and you will bloom (again). That is what makes you happier or more in that direction. It is oke when you don’t get results in the first weeks. Trying is a result too.

What happened when I told my story to my family doctor? I felt very relieved. Like something went off the iceberg. Later on, I went into therapy. I am still in therapy.
