Submission Guidelines For Prompts Galore
Become a writer for Prompts Galore, for fiction and non-fiction writers

Welcome to Prompts Galore, a publication dedicated to prompts and the stories inspired by said prompts.
How does Prompts Galore work?
I will post different kind of prompts on a regular basis. These can consist of a single word, an image, a video or a small paragraph.
Topics will vary, from horror to cooking and childhood memories.
As a writer for Prompts Galore, you can choose any prompt you like to create a story, fiction or non-fiction. You don’t have to use the most recent prompts, just pick the one you like, even if it’s several months old.
Don’t forget to add a link to the prompt article in your story.
Once your draft is ready, submit it to the publication and we’ll review it as soon as possible.
You can submit as many stories as you wish, using different prompts or the same ones. If you submit several on the same day, we might spread them out over a few days to give them more visibility and of course to give other writers a spot as well.
Every once in a while, we’ll link to some submitted stories to put them in the spotlight.
Here are some examples of prompt articles:
How can I become a writer for Prompts Galore?
- Follow the publication.
- Leave a comment on this article to ask to become a writer and add your Medium username.
- Leave some claps on this article. This will allow more people to find it, which means the publication will grow more rapidly.
The publication accepts all genuine writers
As long as you write your own stories, you can become a writer for Prompts Galore. We do not accept AI generated stories! If we suspect you used AI, we’ll leave a private note. If it’s clear as day your story is fully AI generated, it will be rejected.
You don’t have to be a paying Medium member or Friend of Medium to become a writer for the pub, but we highly recommend it ($5 or $15 tier). It will allow you to put your stories behind the paywall and make money (as long as your country of residence is supported by the Medium Partner Program), and you’ll support other writers when you read their stories.
Guidelines
We don’t want to get in the way of your creative process, so whether you add 1 image or 5, we don’t care. But always keep the reader in mind. Would you like to read an article with an image after every sentence?
Use Grammarly or something similar to help with spelling and grammar.
You’re quite free when it comes to making your story beautiful. But we ask you to always add a feature image, a title in title case, and a sub-title. Headings etc. are also highly recommended. We might give you some advice or ask for changes in a private note before publishing.
Some rules for images
- Always credit images. If they’re your own, add something like ‘photo taken by author’. For stock photos, you must link to the platform on which you found it. Of course, never use a photo / picture you’re not allowed to use!
- AI generated images are permitted, as long as you add something like ‘image created by author using AI’. Also add the platform you used and link to it. Check out the feature image at the top for an example.
- Don’t forget to add an alt-text on your images.
And some more rules
- Activate ‘private notes’. If we have to ask for some editing for example, and can’t leave a private note, your piece will be rejected.
- You can only submit drafts to the publication.
- Always add a link to the prompt in your article.
- One of your 5 tags must be ‘Prompts Galore’.
- No affiliate links.
- Links to your other stories are allowed, as long as they’re relevant. Don’t add too many links. Always keep the reader in mind.
- No hate speech, health claims, politics or religion. You can write a fiction story about a president who bakes cakes in his free time, but you can’t talk about his politics.
- Follow Medium rules and guidelines.
- We might change / add rules at a later point.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

They were published in other publications, because Prompts Galore didn’t exist yet. But you can still use them to submit stories to Prompts Galore.
