Stop Using ChatGPT Like A Noob: Use Advanced Tactics to Outperform 99% of Users

This is the only post you’ll ever need to learn to use ChatGPT the best way possible.

We all know that ChatGPT has taken the world by storm as one of the most powerful and popular tools available today. Its rise to fame is not the result of mere hype or scams but rather due to its countless practical applications.

In fact, within a short span of just 5 days, ChatGPT amassed an astonishing 1 million users. And as of the latest update, its user base has surged to over 100 million users(and currently 1.8 billion users comes every month).

Despite its widespread usage, there are still many individuals who have yet to discover the full potential of ChatGPT.

It is for this very reason that I have embarked on writing this post — to shed light on the optimal ways to leverage ChatGPT’s capabilities and maximize your experience.

So, let’s delve into the depths of ChatGPT and unlock its true potential.

1. Escaping the Trap of Generic Prompts

When I first discovered ChatGPT, I was intrigued and began exploring its capabilities. I even wrote several posts about my experiences using the tool.

However, I found that the prompts I used were often too general and simplistic, which made it difficult to receive the specific responses I was looking for.

For instance, I would write prompts like “Create a blog post related to 5 productive tools” or “Write a simple Flutter app”.

While these prompts did provide useful information and helped me learn, they didn’t allow me to extract precise and targeted responses from ChatGPT.

As I continued to write more posts, I realized the limitations of using generic prompts. They couldn’t generate the specific and nuanced responses I desired.

It was then that I became aware of the concept of prompt engineering, which involves crafting prompts in a way that elicits the desired information or response from the AI model.

2. ChatGPT and Prompt Engineering Redefining AI Experiences

Since the launch of ChatGPT, a variety of AI tools have emerged with the aim of assisting users in crafting perfect emails, generating innovative business ideas, and composing flawless posts, among other tasks.

However, what many people may not realize is that most of these tools are actually powered by ChatGPT, combined with the application of prompt engineering techniques.

Prompt engineering is a crucial aspect to consider when interacting with AI models. Essentially, it involves formulating queries or instructions in a highly specific manner to elicit the desired output from the model.

OpenAI recognizes the importance of prompt engineering and has provided users with numerous examples showcasing its practical applications. These range from answering questions and correcting grammar to executing text-to-command prompts and much more.

In fact, I have delved extensively into the topic of prompt engineering in a comprehensive blog post.

If you’re interested in exploring this concept further, I wrote a complete post about that.

3. ChatGPT’s On-Demand Prompt Generation for Effortless Working

You may have come across various posts or Twitter threads where creators share a series of helpful prompts that can be copied and pasted into ChatGPT. I myself have written several articles on this topic.

However, the process of bookmarking my blog, copying the prompts, and then using them can be quite cumbersome for you.

That’s where ChatGPT can come to your aid. Instead of relying solely on pre-made prompts, you have the power to generate prompts on demand based on your specific needs.

This means you can customize prompts to suit your preferences without the hassle of searching for and copying pre-existing ones.

In short, generate prompts on demand.

For example, you could ask ChatGPT the following prompt: “What’s the best prompt for ChatGPT to learn my writing style and then suggest some titles for a blog post?”

As you can see ChatGPT generated a prompt for you. In the same way, you can generate prompts based on what you want.

4. ChatGPT’s Transformation Into a Guru [Profession]

As humans, we each possess expertise in specific areas, usually focusing on one or two skills at a time. For instance, I might excel in content writing and coding.

However, it’s important to acknowledge that I may not possess the same level of proficiency in fields such as science or investment, although I do have a general understanding of various subjects.

Fortunately, with the help of ChatGPT, you can obtain expert-level outputs on virtually any topic.

All you need to do is provide a single prompt, and ChatGPT will function as an expert in that particular skill or area of knowledge. It’s a remarkable tool that allows you to tap into its vast capabilities and benefit from its expertise.

If you’re curious and eager to give it a try, don’t hesitate to experiment with ChatGPT. You’ll be amazed at the insightful and knowledgeable responses it can provide across a wide range of subjects.

Prompt: I want you to act as a world-class [profession name] with decades of experience in [what the professional does]. I will ask you for output, and you have to give me unique, expertly written work.

Here are some examples.

For sure, you can go ahead with anything related to programming.

Let’s take one more example.

As you can see, it literally provides the best response. Now it’s your time to dig more into it.

5. ChatGPT Can Mimic Human Style

We’re all familiar with ChatGPT, a powerful tool that generates informative content using artificial intelligence. However, it’s not difficult for anyone to recognize content created by AI, as various AI tools can detect it.

Now, let me share an exciting development with you.

Prompt engineering allows us to generate content that not only carries valuable information, but also reflects the specific tone, style, and writing approach we desire. This means that with prompt engineering, we have the ability to shape the English language in a way that sounds as though it were written by a human.

Prompt: Analyze the text below for style, voice, and tone. Later, you will need to write whatever I tell you in the same style, voice, and tone: [insert your text].

Let me give you an example.

Later, you can write about what you want to generate, and it will try to write in the same style, voice, and tone.

Note that: Don’t use this prompt to write a blog post since it makes no sense. And your readers will not love it.

Hope you like it.

That’s it — thanks.
