DAY THIRTEEN: How can practicing feeling your feelings fully, even when it is deeply uncomfortable, benefit you?

Short answer:

In every way possible!

Extended answer:

  • I can connect more completely with myself
  • I can practice self-care in the acceptance of my feels
  • I can connect more deeply with my characters and thus reflect their emotions more deeply
  • I can notice my reactions, therefore, allowing me to recognize triggers
  • I can explore my beliefs to see if they still serve me and replace them with better beliefs
  • I can enhance my empathy for others
  • I can enhance my empathy for myself
  • I can FEEL and release
  • I can learn to quieten myself and allow my energy to flow as it needs
  • I can allow my energy to clean out or enhance

Longest answer:

I was going to break it all down but, I feel like this one, I’ve hit everything hard and fast. Feeling my feelings fully only has benefits and yes, even in the uncomfortableness for even in a negative feeling, to feel it fully, to sit with it, splash around for a little while, and acknowledge it, is to give self-care. I feel it is better to give that to myself than to get stuck in the silly rhetoric of ‘that’s bad and I shouldn’t feel that way’? And that goes for negative AND positive feels. Who taught me that. Who said that?
