Spiritual Download — We Are The Universe Experiencing Itself
“You are an aperture through which the universe is looking at and exploring itself.” — Alan Watts
Lately, I have been receiving small nuggets of information. Bear with me as I attempt to explain a portion of a download I received recently. I am noticing that the information is beginning to come together, but I still need time to work through it. Sometimes it can be challenging to explain in words. Please feel free to share your ideas or feedback, Ari.
“You, yourself, are the eternal energy which appears as this Universe. You didn’t come into this world; you came out of it. Like a wave from the ocean. You are the Universe experiencing itself.” — Alan Watts
I have come across that quote by Alan Watts numerous times, “You are the Universe experiencing itself.” I thought I understood the profoundness of that statement until recently. Last week, I woke up around 3 am with a download. Sometimes I receive information as a question or a single statement. That morning, I was reminded of Mr. Watts’s quote…”Universe experiencing itself.” Then it finally clicked. I am, we are, the actual Universe.
Please allow yourself time to sit and ponder that statement because it is significant. We’ve always known or been told that we are one with the Universe, but it goes much deeper. If we are indeed the Universe, every obstacle, test, lesson, and experience has been (and is being) created by me, by you, by us.
There is a quote by Echardt Tolle that says, “Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness.”
So, the person we dislike, the struggles we’re experiencing, and the heartache are all being created by us to assist with our evolution. There is no one else to blame; that is the entire point of this experiment. We are the cause and the effect. We are the antagonist and protagonist. We are the light and the darkness. If there is something we desperately want but have yet to receive, we are the ones delaying it (because we know we aren’t ready). The only thing that has ever stood in our way is us.
This means we shouldn’t ask, “Why is God allowing this to happen to me?” The truth is — we are God in this experiment. We are the source, the data that feeds this reality. Without humans, there would be no experiment: we are the experiment, and everything is happening because of us.
You might be thinking, “What does this mean?”
It means we are all-powerful. It means there is literally nothing we can’t do. We have unlimited untapped potential. It means we should begin to better understand ourselves through rediscovery. It means we should accept, surrender, and allow life to flow through us because we are writing our unique stories. Every single thing that has happened and that will ever happen is because of you.
When I had this realization, initially, it was challenging to accept. Then I understood all the hardships, joys, triumphs, and shortcomings served a purpose. Like the phoenix rising from the ashes, we are to transmute pain into power through love, rediscovery, forgiveness, and empathy. The Universe (us) is leading us toward the best version of ourselves. There is no light without darkness, victory without failure, and happiness without sorrow.
When we collectively understand this concept, everything will change. We will begin to accept everything (and everyone) as it is because it is a part of us. The understanding that life is happening because of us is the foundation of spiritual enlightenment. Therefore, we should observe, accept, and surrender to life as it happens because we are the cause and the effect. Peace & love, Ari.
