Connection — Projection: Identifying Obstacles to Dissolve

Connection

At the moment of conception we separate from the Oneness. Our spirit anchors to the physical. A flesh and blood human being begins their journey. And yet… connection to the Oneness lingers while projection seeds are germinating.

During love-making, at the moment of climax a profound spiritual connection happens. Ego/self falls away and we feel at one with our beloved and the universe. Spiritual awakenings and epiphanies are connection celebrations. We become one with Love and Spirit. We live in a sea of connectivity all the time but don’t tune into it.

When my heart chakra is open, I feel a connection with you on a heart-to-heart level. There is nothing that needs doing. I need not act upon it because simple oneness is born into being. It is instantaneous.

[Note: “connection” is being used in a specific manner to denote the purest of states. It is a state of being acknowledging unconditional love/consciousness/light/Oneness. Connection binds with oneness along the continuum of enlightenment.]

Projection

When self/ego returns connection fades into attachment desires. Longing, desire and the chemistry of lust enters our consciousness. Romantic love, parental love, love of one’s children, and fellowship love to name some attachments. Ego/self and language make categories separate from connection and oneness. It’s natural to get attached.

Attachment is a good thing — a source of fuel to make light. Further explanation is ahead.

Language shapes the sense of self and ego in a context of a projected reality. The symbology of language makes projected reality messy. Many first loves want the other to understand their reality from their perspective. This is the first blush of romance. This is an impossible wish. Ego/self bonds inexorably with language. Its technology is inseparable from ego/self. It’s inexact. The pull between the hunger for connection, which exists, turns it into a projection.

Language is a symbolic representation or map of reality. It is not the reality itself. Each individual uses language tech in a unique manner to approximate their reality. Therein lies the nexus of messy understanding. The billions of people on Earth all have different realities mediated by language.

Identification (Development of Projection)

At the onset of life we have already identified the sound of our mother’s voice — while in utero. After birth the infant plays with the world, identifying the me and the not me. Once language is mastered the process of the me and the not-me enters its first solidification, around age seven. This sense of self is tested in adolescence by way of belonging with others.

In our 20s, quest continues. The focus is on the greater world. We look to the outer world to tell us who we are. This arises from likes and dislikes, attraction and repulsion, rejection and acceptance. Projection is an opposite of connection. Yet like a two-sided coin the opposites exist as one — somehow.

An unexamined life is an unconscious struggle between individuation and oneness. There are a variety of developmental stages from infancy to elder wisdom. Understanding begets wisdom. Introspection and inner work when balanced with daily life achieve balance. [Old souls are on fire. They catapult on an accelerated arc to Oneness. The path of wisdom is continuous learning.]

When the quest for understanding gets abandoned fear enters and growth stops. As we grow older our attachments grow more rigid. We become identified with them. They become entrenched habits. We give up trying to change them. We acquiesce into an acceptable lifestyle. Slavery to our attachments is a result. A mindfulness practice is a pathway to transformation and freedom.

Common Projections

Falling In-Love

One such euphoric projection comes into play with the chemistry of falling in love. The Golden Shadow projections are complex. Fantasies make projections. Wish-fulfillment highs of romantic love, and the endorphin rush of hormones mask reality. Beyond the infatuations of the “crush”, a connection of love may be present. Falling in love with the Golden Shadow ends many love affairs. When the shadows wear off the work of love begins. Those that go on have a chance of a working partnership.

Affirmations

Affirmations focus on a potential future. These positively stated sentences whether spoken or written are projections. What we want is stated through a positive intent using the present tense wording. We draw what we wish to bring a projected desire into the present. It sometimes appears and sometimes does not.

Creativity and Projections

Projections and creativity are bound together in humanity’s current epoch. Artists of all mediums work to project the zeitgeist of the culture in a public venue. The artist or auteur is the channel for the collective consciousness. The audience identifies with the work of art through projection. An emotional bond forms between the work of art and its viewer. The viewer is a receptive participant who engages through an emotional bond.

We writers on Medium use forms, styles, and content to attract readers. We appeal to projection/attachments of readers. We, content creators, are working to increase knowledge on an incremental basis.

Daily Projections

In my 20s when walking down the street, asleep in my comfort zone, I projected likes and dislikes onto others. But only if I was paying attention. If I gave them any thought. Like and dislikes are the basis of discriminating filters. Discriminating filters include judgments, assumptions, intuitive hits, repulsions, attractions, biases, and so on.

Enticing, click-bait projections allow connections to fade into the background until they disappear. Ego/self entitlements have grown. They correspond to the increasing number of projections. Part of this phenomena falls on the manipulations of Social Media companies. Many of my friends have seduced into the tribal divisiveness game. [Note: “Many of my friends have seduced into the tribal divisiveness game.” corrected is — “Many of my friends have been seduced into the tribal divisiveness game.” Serves me right for 2 days of sleep deprivation and the disappearance of my connectivity replaced by an implied space of “been”. Connection/Projection Dynamics

Souls get excited to return to the 3D Earth reality through the lure of adventure. The play of consciousness reaches new heights in our coarse reality. The third dimension (3D) interacts with our experiences in the fifth dimension (5D). The 3D is a world of projection and waking sleep. The 5D is a world of connection, Oneness, Light and Love.

This is the play of consciousness, the wild fun, and the joy!

Connection belongs to states of Being and as such, dwells outside 3D in 4 and 5D or in infinite play. Projection is ego/self and grounds in 3D, also known as in the “jaws of entropy”. Finite play is about goals, with rules, and has winners and losers. Being envelopes connection and dwells outside time. Projection pursues the goal of becoming one by attaching to it. Projection continuously pursues Oneness unconsciously or consciously until the death of the body.

Connection and projection are opposites. They war against one another. Unless an element of mindfulness is present the war continues. The poles of these opposites have a midpoint of reconciliation where Oneness is home. Being allows connection expands to include projection, and balance is understood through reconciliation.
