Dear readers,

Do you know where I am now as I write this letter to you? Here are some clues: a gentle breeze caresses my face, the water of the stream flows and the birds of the forest sing.

Have you guessed? Am I sitting against a tree by a stream in the heart of the forest? What if I told you I’m comfortable on my couch with my laptop on my lap and the windows closed?

Maybe I’m just with the one I’ve considered my faithful writing companion for years… The wonderful Noisli! But wait a minute, what does this thing have to do with all those nature sounds I hear around me?

Have you met Noisli? As they define themselves, Noisli is your digital place for focus. The web app offers you 28 high-quality sounds (mostly nature sounds) that you can play individually or choose to mix, by adjusting the volume of each one. This allows you to create the perfect sound environment for your writing and reading sessions, or for any other creative activities. Noisli also offers a lovely distraction-free text editor which is very pleasant to use.

For me, Noisli is the most wonderful partner for word lovers! I’ve been using the web app for several years now, and it really helps me to get the words from my head to my screen or notebook more easily. I also use Noisli when I read or just want to relax. And it works!

So why am I telling you all this? Well today, I’m very happy to announce that Scribe is partnering with Noisli for the launch of version 3.0 of their amazing web app! For the occasion, take advantage of a 15% off on the Pro monthly or the Pro yearly plan by applying the code NOISLIXSCRIBE on checkout. The coupon code is valid until Sunday March 8th.

If you apply it to the monthly plan, the first month will be 15% off, and every month after will be the normal price. For the yearly plan, the first year will be 15% off, and every year after will be the normal price.

If I’m so excited to share this news with you, it’s because I’m sure Noisli will be able to help you make your writing sessions even more enjoyable. With this new version I’ve been using for a week, I know I’m not about to stop writing! Try it, and tell me how it helps you in your creative process.

I wanted to make a wink to my developer friend, I know he reads me sometimes: buddy, try to write a few lines of code with Noisli open in a tab of your browser, and tell me what you think about it!

One last thing: if you’re by a stream in the heart of the forest and you feel like writing, please turn off all your screens (if you have them with you), take your pen and notebook, and let yourself be carried away! Otherwise, you can listen to the combo I used to write this letter.

Austin Briggman was in the spotlight in this week’s column. I hope you enjoyed reading his poems! For the next edition starting today, I chose to highlight Lora K Lucente, a wonderful poet with whom I share my love for nature. Go to the Scribe homepage to read her poems!

Enjoy your weekend! ♥︎

Thomas
