Summary

The website content is a poetic reflection on the enduring memory and impact of a lost loved one, drawing parallels between natural elements and the author's emotions.

Abstract

The poem "Contemplation" delves into the profound sense of loss and nostalgia experienced by the author. It uses vivid imagery of a lonely star, fragrant flowers, flowing rivers, and the sea and beach to personify the author's mixed emotions of longing, calm, and fierce storms of love. The author grapples with the absence of the loved one, questioning whether time will truly heal the pain of their departure. Despite the assertion that time heals all wounds, the author admits to a reluctance to let go, preferring to hold onto the memories until the end of their own life.

Opinions

  • The author equates the memory of the loved one to a distant star, both present and absent, symbolizing the lingering yet intangible nature of remembrance.
  • Flowers and their fragrance evoke the sweetness of past shared moments, with the loved one being compared to a rose, signifying beauty and the enrichment of life.
  • The rivers are seen as a metaphor for the loved one's character, embodying calmness, patience, and strength, much like the changing currents of a river.
  • The relationship between the author and the loved one is likened to the sea and beach, meant to be eternal but ultimately disrupted, reflecting on the contrast between light and darkness in their shared story.
  • The author challenges the notion of time as a healer, expressing an unwillingness to fully heal and forget, as the pain is a cherished connection to the loved one, a sentiment they intend to carry to their grave.

When the sight of lonely star in cold night sky approaches my vision, it reminds me of you….. Is it a star? Or as they say, is it just light?….. Just like your memory is left in me, But you are not here, Anymore…..

Beautiful flowers that spread fragrance…..! They make me reflect on the days we spent together….. Of course, You were the rose that made our time fragrant, just like it was your birthright to make lives worth living…..

The flowing rivers carry the signs of you….. You were calm, patient and flexible, yet whenever it was necessary you were as fierce as a storm….. Yes, a current with radiant tough love…..!

Sea and Beach…..! They are meant to coexist as long as they are destined to remain….. Yet what made our story like the tale of light and darkness? I’m still here But you are nowhere…..

They say, TIME is the ultimate healer, At the end it would drown one’s pain in an unreachable abyss….. But, is that what I really want? To make you a total outcast?….. The simplest and the absolute answer is “NO”, Someone might call it a disease, but it’s something I crave to keep till I reach my grave…..
