Shining the Illuminating Light of Spirituality on the Mirror
My editor’s picks in the spirituality tag from Illumination’s Mirror

I intend to feature, from time to time, on an irregular schedule, stories published in the various outlets of Illumination Integrated Publications tagged in Spirituality that I feel worthy of highlighting for our readers. My first two volumes featured stories from ILLUMINATION.
Today I turn the focus to ILLUMINATION’s Mirror, and in no particular order, highlight these fine writers for the readers of SYNERGY.
Christina Vaughn: Nurse, Writer, Creator.
I understood that to fully grasp and accept the verity and magnificence of my presence in the universe; I had to also welcome the ultimate coming of my demise in the body, which will lead my person, my being, to another realm.
…
Each of us as beings is here for a reason, all for separate and unique reasons that are intimately used to connect us with other humans.

Ida Adams masterfully uses simile and metaphor to amplify her story about the power of staying in the moment:
tempers were as frayed as my favorite jeans shorts
wet dogs smell like wet dogs
Like an ark of biblical proportions, the keyboard came to rest in the lounge area, effectively taking up a third of the floor space
The lake shimmered and danced on diamond tips while the breeze helped along, creating small waves the ducks rode expertly. Overhead, seagulls soared with the wind while others quarreled on the dock over a piece of bait.
Now please read her story:
Kristina Segarra is one of my co-editors, and I appreciate her dedication to I-Mirror. This story of hers is chock full of spiritual wisdom:
People who constantly begrudge others and show hatred are unable to forgive and lack wisdom. They create nothing more than chaos in their unsettling minds. To break free and step on a path to spiritual enlightenment, they must acknowledge their ignorance.
I note that many people, particularly those that have suffered trauma at the hands of others, get their backs up when anyone suggests the pathway of forgiveness to them. I note that forgiveness does not require reconciliation. The connection of those two entirely separate concepts is a human misconstruction — to err is truly human and to forgive is truly divine. Providence would never suggest that one reconcile with one who is unrepentant and does not offer sincere amends.
In this next story of mine, I discuss many spiritual concepts that align with Kristina’s message:
ElizaBeth Hill writes:
We are meant to have a connection, a relationship with the natural world, with our environment. It is within this relationship that we are carried forward and gently coaxed into an awareness that change is coming. Whether good or bad, change is the one thing in life we can count on. The natural world speaks loudly and if we are even remotely connected, we eventually get the message.
Please read her full story of birds as messengers:
I happen to love hummingbirds and thus have this beautiful tattoo on my arm:

I discuss the meaning of my tattoo here:
Remaining with the spirituality of birds for a moment, I loved what Tara Desai PhD had to say:
If somebody is rude to us, know the reason. Pick up the advice if it improves our mistakes. Having said this, we know it is not possible to be soft spoken in every situation. However, there is always a benefit in counting its value.
The little teacher strengthened my love towards a polite attitude. Studying these species increased an iota of knowledge on the amazing life of these wandering wonderful sky riders.
Birds have great lessons for our life.
All we need is to listen to their songs

Last but not least, one of my favorites, if not my favorite writer on Medium, Keri Mangis, graced our pages with these two stories way back in April:
When we embody our souls, we expand and include all parts of ourselves. We embrace all that makes us human, as well as all that reminds us of our divinity.
In Rama I create, with soul-energy surging through my body, inspiring me and breathing wind into my sails,
