A game of illusions and betrayal
Word of the Day: Objects!
Tom’s heart raced. “Jen?” The silhouette sat, bound, silent. He approached, dread swirling.
“Not her,” he realized, pulling the sack away. Suddenly, a blow to his back.
The bound figure rose, revealing a smirk, ropes falling. “Sorry, Tom,” the stranger’s voice mocked, standing over him.
Tom’s eyes fluttered, succumbing to unconsciousness.
From the shadows, Jen emerged, not a captive but a conspirator.
Their eyes met, a twisted affection shared.
“Sleep well, Tom,” she whispered a sweet, sinister goodbye.
As Tom drifted off, the last sight was Jen’s embrace with the mastermind, a betrayal complete.
Objects of trust now shattered illusions.
