Shadow Art: A 6-Word Photo Story
Six Word Photo Story Summer Challenge (August)
Shadows. Sunlight’s tattoo — gone by dusk.
During a forest hike, I paused for a break to sit down on the earth, breathe and enjoy the greenery. When I glanced at my watch, I noticed that the tree above me cast a shadow on my arm.
Another August Dare: I dare you to play with the shadows in your life and see what you can capture on your camera and write a story about it — in six words.
Welcome to the first round of participating writers who wrote stories in August! Are you curious or still hooked on the challenge? Me too. Tag — you’re it!
A few took the August dare with the new splash: Will Hull jumped off a plane, Cindy Shore Smith tackled a serpent, Ellie Jacobson took a vacation, Kim Zuch took us on a hike, and Xin Xin bared her back. These writers connected us a step closer to our readers by enabling us to take a peek into their lives with photos of themselves — doing something brave or something they love doing — thank you!
We’re off to a great start for August —here are links to each writer’s first 6-word photo story I read for Round #1. Please have a read and support your fellow writers with reads, claps, and comments! Follow me at Mary Chang Story Writer to stay tuned for Round #2 and see what other dares August might bring.
1st Round (14 writers)
Writers: If you’ve written more than one story, I’ve posted the link to the first story you published. Thank you to the following participating writers to date in our August challenge. Your stories are linked in the article you’re reading,
