6-Word Photo Story Summer Challenge — August

Birthdays are like New Year’s Eves.

Some are fantastically memorable, others are amateur night. And some you just sleep right on through.

This photo was from my fantastically memorable 50th.

I just ticked over my 54th, and if you’ve read my previous ‘6-Word Challenges’, you’ll know I spent it in solitary hotel quarantine. Less adrenaline rush and more introspective. And that’s okay.

Fortunately for me, Mary’s not a stickler to her own rules as I seem to struggle with the ‘summer’ aspect of the challenge.

But you can find Mary Chang Story Writer’s new twist on this challenge here:

I’ll just tag a couple of adrenaline junkies I’ve met along my Medium journey, Alice Cunningham and Anne Bonfert. But everyone, as always, is welcome to dive in.
