You shake your head. “I don’t think I am a hero. I certainly don’t feel like one. If Lorenzo gets on the Labyrinth first and finds the path to the Time Walker, we are doomed.”

Alaric raises an eyebrow. “You don’t have to accept the title, but you did just save my life. And we’ll make it through the Labyrinth of Tempus and find the Time Walker before him. Together.”

“How can you be so sure?”

“I might know a secret or two about the Labyrinth. Things I didn’t tell you if you wish.”

“So Lorenzo doesn’t know them either.”
