Samsung Galaxy Watches Might Have a Built-In Projector in the Future
A patent discovered by SamMobile suggests a Samsung watch with a built-in projector.

If you’re an Android user who loves smartwatches but isn’t a fan of the Apple Watch, then chances are you’ve come across the Samsung Galaxy Watch range.
Known as the top smartwatch for Android users, the Galaxy Watch range could have a new, innovative feature in the future. A patent discovered by SamMobile has revealed that the next generation of the Samsung Galaxy Watch could come with a built-in projector.
Based on the patent images, the projection would be made from the watch case onto a larger area of your body, such as your hand. This would allow you to view media in a larger size without requiring a massive watch face.
The report suggests that the technology could amplify the display or show different things altogether. This could be great for viewing pictures and videos, which can be distorted or difficult to view on a small watch face.
Furthermore, this new technology could allow smartwatch manufacturers to offer smaller watches without limiting functionality. The watch industry has been trending towards smaller watch faces for a few years now, but smartwatches, which aim to balance style with functionality, have struggled to keep up.
The Apple Watch Ultra, for example, has a 49mm case. While it’s great for getting more out of the watch face, it can look bulky unless you have big arms. With the ability to amplify the size of the display, smartwatches could be smaller without sacrificing functionality.
It’s important to note, however, that these are just patents. There is no indication of when or if this technology will ever come to fruition. It’s worth keeping an eye out for any further developments, though.
Final Words
In conclusion, Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy Watch could have a built-in projector, allowing users to view media on a larger surface without requiring a bigger watch face.
This new technology could also open up opportunities for smartwatch manufacturers to create smaller watches without sacrificing functionality.
While these are currently just filed patents, and there is no indication of when or if this feature will be available, it’s worth keeping an eye out for any future developments.
