So far this curse has only been strange visions and perturbing warnings delivered in the voices of your friends. Definitely creepy, but nothing too harmful. It’s something you have to ignore, at least until your family is safe.

You’re hoping it’ll wear off eventually.

“Let’s go,” you say to Dara.

She gives you a strange look.

“If you say so.” She continues along the path. “We’re not far.”

Bruno and Scruff follow. You attempt to take a step, but find your legs locked to the earth. As hard as you try, it’s impossible to move.

You struggle to call out.
