Many writers on Medium ask you to select a specific niche for yourself to write in. But what if I tell you that you are using Medium wrong. Do not be surprised, I will explain it to you.
It’s important to write in a specific niche but only in blogging (writing on your website). Medium is a pure writing platform where you even would not see the ads.
Medium has a superpower, which allows you to write about any topic. If you are providing value or helping someone, they are gonna read your work.
I am not telling it without proof. You can always go to any popular writer profile. You would find out that they are writing about multiple topics.
I have personally checked profiles of some of the most famous writers on Medium. And found stories about different topics like finance, writing, self-improvement, history, love life, success stories, self stories, hot topics, and many more.
You can also check yourself to believe me. Check these writers Tim Denning, Tom Kuegler, Zulie Rane, Sean Kernan, Shaunta Grimes.
I know you are thinking it would not be profitable. But let me show you something.
- I have been following Zulie Rane from her initial days on YouTube, where she shares her Medium earnings every month. And you would not believe that she is making $5,000 on average only from the partner program. — You can check her income reports on her YouTube channel.
