ILLUMINATION Book Chapters provides a place to whet your appetite for interesting books by insightful authors

If you haven’t heard of ILLUMINATION Book Chapters yet, it is a publication of book chapters and complete books serializations. Regardless of the type of books you like to read, you will find some interesting samples in this publication. Here are five authors’ works I am following.

Being a classic movie lover, I couldn’t help but browse Ulf Wolfs Garbo’s Face. What I found was an interesting story of a star’s decision to send her secret baby to India, where he is raised by a grandmother who has mystic powers. The story starts a hundred years ago when the mysteries and wonders of life seem much more enchanting than they do today.

Phil Rossi’s Soldier Hill — Coming of Age Fiction Honoring Sacrifice tells the story of two young men and their commitment to preserving the memory of a fallen soldier. Reading chapters at random, one that really gripped me was Chapter 8, where Phil describes the changing world surrounding the monument and how the main characters’ lives were impacted by a promise they had made many years before.

Carla Woody’s Standing Stark — The Willingness to Engage presents Carla’s journey to spiritual consciousness. She demonstrates that there is a world greater than we even think about just beyond the comfort of our own homes. My fascination with metaphysics drew me into this book, and the realization that we can all have similar experiences if we are just willing to engage them keeps me reading.

Wry Welwood’s A Victor’s Psalm — Words of Wounds, Love, Healing and Growth Is a journey from despair and a life of unconscionable surroundings to development of inner strength and a sense of self-worth that leads to victory. All written in poetry with emotional eloquence.

And finally, as a bit of a tech nerd and fan of agile project management, I had to read Digital Intelligence by Dr Mehmet Yildiz. Chapter 7a — Agile Thinking in Digital Ventures particularly caught my attention and had me cheering. This is the kind of change I am working to implement in my course planning projects. It’s tough reading, but worth the time.
