Summary

Susan Alison shares her excitement for the new year, the natural beauty of her garden, and the apprehension of her dog, PupperJack, amidst the preparations for New Year's planning with a touch of humor.

Abstract

The web content describes Susan Alison's anticipation for the New Year, as evidenced by her detailed preparations involving whiteboards, sticky notes, planners, and a variety of stationery. She takes delight in the natural splendor surrounding her home, such as the vibrant orange glow of the Pyracantha shrub, the fragrant hyacinths indoors, and a perfectly formed leaf she encountered. Her dog, PupperJack, adds a humorous element to the narrative with his wariness towards the "big" thing creeping up on him, which turns out to be the New Year's preparations. Susan's passion for planning is highlighted as she looks forward to embracing the possibilities of the upcoming year, including the celebration of New Year's Eve with "bangless fireworks." The content also includes a list of contributors to a Photo-a-Day Challenge and concludes with links to Susan's Amazon page, Etsy store, and newsletter sign-up, inviting readers to engage further with her work.

Pyracantha Orange Glow, the Scent of Hyacinth, a Perfect Leaf Formation and Something is Creeping Up on Us!

PupperJack is very worried about the creeping thing!

Pyracantha (fire thorn) — above — is providing a glowing splash of colour up against the wall outside the front of the house.

Inside the house the fragrance of hyacinth, as the flowers open, is beginning to spread through the ground floor.

I do love the scent of hyacinth when it’s natural; am not so wildly keen when it’s out of a bottle. It never seems to work so well when humans try to make it.

Talking of natural things — look at this amazing leaf formation — above — I don’t know what the plant is, but the way it’s growing is so perfect!

PupperJack knows something BIG is creeping up on him. He’s a bit apprehensive about it.

Ah ha! He’s stumbled upon the new white board, the piles of sticky notes, the bags of new felt tip pens and highlighters, the planners and the notebooks.

It’s the New Year! It’s nearly here! Much planning has to be undertaken!

Susan’s always keen on New Years and does a lot of planning at the end of the Old Year. This year, though, she’s got a plan, a super-plan for the planning! Oh, yeah!

We’re gonna be so planned!

We’re watching a New Year approach. We’re going to celebrate a whole new year with all its possibilities. (Especially with bangless fireworks.)
