Pink Rowan Berries Light up the Neighbourhood while Frosty Nights Flatten the Less Hardy

In the meantime, something is creeping up on PupperJack

Having said that, the hydrangea — above left — and the alstromeria — above right — are still going strong despite the sudden nosedive in temperature.

We saw this load of cat food on a wall for anyone to take if they wanted it. I felt a bit sad, assuming that they no longer had a cat who needed the food.

However, PupperJack pointed out to me that it was possible the cat no longer liked that food and was insisting on a different one — as is every creature’s right, he said, looking at me rather pointedly.

There are also the odd Halloween remainders around the place. Most are piles of orange mush, but some have kept their shape very well.

PupperJack knows there’s something — he has a feeling that something is creeping up on him …

He is right …

It’s Christmas!

Christmas is not creeping, though — it’s speeding towards us. Eek!

I am not short of baubles, but I pounced on this one — above — it’s the indentation — it took me straight back to my childhood — I think most of the baubles then were indented.

I think my love of Christmas decorations is a nostalgic ‘thing’ from childhood - before the world got in - that now feels entirely magical.

One minute, it’s still autumn; the next, it’s full-on Christmas!

One minute, it’s Thanksgiving; the next, it’s all the lists for Christmas and who to leave on and who to chuck off!
