Putin Suffers Cardiac Arrest
Says a former Russian lieutenant-general
Russian President Vladimir Putin had a cardiac arrest last night according to reports from the Telegram channel SVR and on X, run by a former Russian lieutenant-general.
This follows years of speculation about his deteriorating health amid rumours of cancer and Parkinson’s disease. Interestingly, there’s been little talk of him experiencing cardiovascular problems, until now.
According to The Express newspaper he was found by guards “lying on the floor, rolling his eyes” in his bedroom, next to “an overturned table with food and drinks.”
Doctors were called and diagnosed cardiac arrest. He was then moved to a medical facility within the apartment, where he’s under intensive care.
He suffered convulsions and was resuscitated, said the report, originating from SVR.
Here are some extracts of the report on X… @generalsvr_en
“#Putin’s Cardiac Arrest Yesterday at about 21:05 Moscow time, Federal Protective Service officers of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who were on duty at the residence, heard noise and sounds of falling coming from the president’s bedroom.”
They found him having fallen beside his bed and called for medical assistance.
“Doctors performed resuscitation, having previously determined that the president was in cardiac arrest. Help was provided on time, the heart was started, and Putin regained consciousness.
“The president was moved to a specially equipped room in his residence, where the necessary medical equipment for resuscitation had already been installed, practically an intensive care ward equipped with the latest technology. The president’s condition has been stabilized, and he is under constant medical supervision.”
They say official meetings have been attended by ‘the president’s double’, while consultations take place to decide what happens next if he passes away in the coming days.
