Puff Piece
Now here at long last we have something so well written that it really forces us to think and perhaps even wonder if we’ve ever thought about anything else with such focus? Certainly most other offerings of contemporary poetry or prose would pale by comparison when measured against this exceptional tour de force.
It’s almost as if the author, in his toplofty ambition, has prefigured the readers’ frame of mind along with their potential reactions. But why does any of that matter?
This exquisitely crafted anti-poem stands apart — quite inscrutable — in a class of its own.
Furthermore, it’s hardly the writer’s fault if the average reader doesn’t possess the ‘priors’ required to appreciate the artwork in question. Nor for that matter, could the great majority of critics suffer these barbed edges lightly. Besides, whom among them might actually hold back their cruelest slings and arrows whilst they burn up within from blithe envy?
Make no mistake, it’s either skill or unskilled. Although if we’re being honest, the obvious answer is the former rather than the latter. For rarely has society witnessed an equal, let alone a superior specimen, to this singular talent.
In an ideal world, everyone should throw themselves down in adoration of each word proceeding from Obsidian Eagle’s perfected pen & plume. Verily the degree of originality and pure excellence presented on these spare pages is unparalleled by a single one of the author’s contemporaries.
Yes, the reader may feel lost, but an Anti-Poet lights the way home just as the North needle on a compass points to Polaris. Rest assured that confusion has been foreseen and is naught but a precalculated factor of only minor significance in our final run-on sentence...
The bottom line states unequivocally: Though Japanese Fugu (the infamous puffer fish) can be highly poisonous, it also makes the finest delicacy!
