Hello, Shayens here! Welcome to Be Open, a publication where people can publish their stories and feelings about anything; relationship, nature, sexuality, life and many more from real and honest perspective, so that readers can explore the reality of human.

As carrying the theme of ‘be open’, this publication’s motto is: Write in just the way you are. It’s okay to be imperfect. Don’t worry to be different. We all respect your opinions.

So based on it, we open submission for new writers and wish to give them an equal chance to show their stories.

It’s okay your writing is plain as long as having really good idea, has clear message and useful for readers. I tolerate a few grammar mistakes or limited vocabulary. And, I think our readers will understand us too.

Of course we’re open for experienced writer or person blessed with perfection (capable to write well-writen stories, good mental health or has so much great experiences in life) to share their knowledge and give advises through writing.

So here, whether you’re a top writer or a budding writer, it doesn’t matter. Here in Be Open, everyone gets a same opportunity to be accepted as a contributor and to appear on our front page.

What does our ‘Be Open’ mean?

In simple words it means: To open up and Being open to. To make it clear, here're its wider meaning:

  1. If you’re a non native English with limited vocabulary and grammar, also if you feel not expert enough in writing, don’t worry for that, we just would love to hear your stories. But of course I don’t bluntly accept extremely worst writings. If you still aren’t sure the grammar level that’s exusable and accepted by Be Open, you can read some of my stories/poems in my Medium profile page which has been approved by some publications (with a minimum editings). I believe those my writings are still far from good, but the publications seemed to be able to tolerate them.
  2. You are okay to be different, to have personality oddness or disorders and share your feelings and experiences here.
  3. You are okey to admit that you’re imperfect or jobless and depressed, telling that you have scars after giving birth with your baby, to share that you are old or has sexless marriage. overwhelmed with your kids, etc. Some publications only expect us to post self improvements and great achievements in life. We love it too, but it’s okey you come here only to share your sadness or anxieties and you feel stuck or to be in darkest phase of your life. By pouring out your true feelings, hope it could ease the issues and maybe you will get some supports from your readers. Basically, you’re free to share any personal experiences, good and bad, sad or happy, the embarrassing things to moments that make you proud.
  4. Show that you're open or receptive to something that comes from outside of yourself. Welcoming anythings as they are, though it might be in a contradiction with your own view.
  5. We are open for your honest opinions about anything as long as it's still in the corridor of Be Open and Medium guidelines.

From above explanations, you could catch what kinds of stories you can submit to this publication. Once again, as long as your writings have value, to educate, to encourage others to be a better person, I will publish your stories.

Here we can help each other, grow together, get healing naturally, find and recognize who we are and give values to both ourselves and others through writing.

Also, I want this to be a place where people can share the things they’re passionate about with others and a vast audience of readers who sincerely enjoy reading special or daylife moments and experiences.
