Invisible Artwork

The emperor’s new cloak never looked quite so good…

Author’s Note: The inspiration for this piece came when an Italian artist sold an ‘immaterial sculpture’ last week for the tidy sum of 15,000 Euros.

Invisible Artwork

Have you ever seen such superb abstraction?

CLUE: It’s neti-neti y’all —

Which means it can only be described by negation.

Cross your eyes to decipher this scrawl…

Empty space is an unfilled vessel

Though human brains may fill it with faces or vases

Perceptions twist and contort like a salted _______.

If anyone missed that, then they should adjust their glasses

These notes might sound too subtle to untrained ears

Break out the lemon solution and dab those illegible pages

{ Our outré references probably predate most reader’s years }

Translation: Need non-fungible tokens to recoup lost wages!
