Press Your Way
A poem about determination.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight:” (II Corinthians 5:7).
Press Your Way
Whatever your endeavor, be tenacious Whatever you do, do it with tenacity Whatever your belief, believe tenaciously If you are a Christian, be a tenacious Christian Whatever your belief, be persistent.
To be tenacious you must learn to always Press Your Way Press Your Way through trials, for there is value in trials No trials, no testimony, no spiritual or mental growth No testimony, no witness, no testing, no victory No conflict, no strength gained, no staying power.
For the victory, you got to be tenacious Conflict and trials build strength Reserve that strength, for life’s rainfall The sun will not always shine Hold your peace; be steadfast, unmovable, and grounded.
Do not allow the rain to steal your joy Learn to rejoice in your present state God’s grace is sufficient, his mercy endures forever He never leads, where his grip can’t keep you, press.
Prayer and wisdom are essential for the tenacious Do not request the mountain be moved, but the strength to climb Do not be double-minded, you are unstable, you can’t win Your reward is your deliverance, a closer relationship with thee.
Press Your Way, you can make it, your reward is awaiting you Remain steadfast in God’s word, day and night, and be true The tenacity of God makes the darkness light and your trials right Whatever, be tenacious and Press Your Way, be still and stay.
