The Rubber Meets the Road
A poem about life.
Put the pedal to the medal pray so hard that heaven and earth shakes living comes with highs and lows ups and downs from the rearview mirror a few may appear like headlights smack in your face, knocking you back sometimes the road gets so steep you cannot see the end of it when you have done all you can what do you do when all is wrong looking up ahead is daunting the only seen is despair and bleakness even the fog is not on your side your heart filled with pain your soul filled with dread what do you do, no immediate solution spirit is darker than a hundred midnights as you drive, no clear view ahead the rain pouring all around drenching every fiber of your being thundering inside your soul storms raging every way turned bleakness, bleakness everywhere despair got you bound what do you do, keep driving not a soul in sight to help put the medal to the pedal cry out to God with every breath look, seek and believe every road will come to an end there is hope just around the bend keep the rubber to the road, God.
