The Aching One

How a woman was made whole from a particular time.

”….And the woman was made whole from that hour.” (Matthew 9:22).

The Aching One

There once was this lady who always desired to be heard She had a lot to say but, never uttered a word Years passed, she remained silent Inwardly, was torn, twisted and bent.

She fought one day to speak her piece Anger poured from her lips, it did not cease Tears stained her eyes, pain conquered her heart Grief blurred her words, each time she would start.

Anger and grief, from an insult many years ago Wounded so deep, caused a nose bleed so Agonizing over the past, she traveled around Seeking solace, relief, no help abound.

Desperately seeking help, escape, be pain-free She cried aloud, “God please help me Remove this bitter cup from my breast Everywhere I go, I find no rest Some days, death looks mighty good But my desire to live, within me stood.

A moment of peace I know not No one else, God you’re all I got To forgive, I must, to be free So this pain, anger, grief to flee Forgiveness, I know, now is the key I must do, thou soul to be set free.
