Positive Affirmations for Gratitude — Part 3
“I am grateful for my ability to write.”
Part 3 of the gratitude affirmations is crafted specifically for writers, recognizing the unique journey and creative process that defines our craft.
Sometimes, we may feel like we are not enough, and we may face challenges, just as any artist.
Writing is not an easy process, so I believe expressing gratitude for our ability, patience, passion, and talent to write will inspire us deeply to create more.
Let’s dive into Part 3:
Every day, I close my eyes to meditate for at least ten minutes. Some days, I judge my ability to craft compelling stories or write articles. I feel overwhelmed by being a full-time screenwriter and writer, and the pressure to prove myself.
Writing and putting yourself out there is inherently scary. It might make us feel vulnerable, exposing our thoughts and emotions to the world.
The fear of judgment and the uncertainty of reception can sometimes turn into self-judgment and disbelief in our own abilities.
In those moments, I use these gratitude affirmations to embrace my writing journey and express gratitude for my ability to write and craft stories.
I may also include a short description below of some affirmations to let you know why I think they’re powerful.
- I am grateful for my courage as a writer.
We have to appreciate our courage as writers, expressing our innermost thoughts and feelings to the world.
We are brave!
Let’s say it out loud: “I am brave!”
2. I am grateful for my talent as a writer. It’s a gift.
Some days, it’s hard to recognize our talent. But remember, even some of the biggest artists struggle with acknowledging their own abilities, despite their success.
It may initially seem egoistic to say this affirmation, but just roll with it. We need to be our own biggest cheerleader at times.
3. I am thankful for the many brilliant ideas that come to me so easily.
This is particularly helpful when you’re experiencing writer’s block, or ideas don’t flow as much that day. I believe the energy of repeating this affirmation opens up some neurons or pathways.
Have you read “BIG MAGIC” by Elizabeth Gilbert? If so, this is for you: You can feel this affirmation opening up your mind and inviting new ideas to stop by.
4. I thank the endless creativity in me.
5. I see and appreciate the unique perspective I bring to my writing; a voice that is authentic and distinctly mine.
This is one of the most powerful affirmations that encourage and appreciate authenticity, especially within us.
6. I am grateful for my ability to craft intriguing stories.
7. I am thankful for both successes and setbacks in my writing journey.
As we discussed in Part 2 of gratitude affirmations, it’s important to accept that the journey is filled with ups and downs.
Every “down,” setback, or twist and turn hold a lesson that we must learn to propel forward.
8. I am grateful for the joy that writing brings into my life.
9. I thank the moments that allow me to dive deep into my thoughts and craft.
It’s also about appreciating the quiet moments or small moments in our lives that inspire our writing.
10. I am grateful for my passion that fuels my discipline to stay committed to my writing.
No matter how you may feel about your writing, remember that you’re still here, working as much as you can to achieve your goals. It requires self-discipline, so be grateful for that.
Embrace these affirmations and let them fill you with the courage and positive energy on your journey of writing and expressing yourself.
Let’s transform our mindset and approach with positive thinking and words.
