Poetry/Mythology
A Poem
Artists, writers, poets are the ones who “keep the mythology of the environment and the world alive” who keep the stories of the people alive who pass them down who ensure they last, change, adapt, remain the same who keep the people alive in the stories in the passing down of the stories Artists, writers, poets, poets, poets tell us how to respect things tell us how to not falter tell us how to ensure the goodness of humanity Higher higher higher like a guru like a priest like a shamen like a vision shaping traditions saving traditions shaping culture saving culture poets are the spiritual guides why hide it why ignore it why avoid it poets go into the cave, into the hut, into the underworld, into the darkness dying, resurrecting, coming back over and over again empaths but more, much more into the woods every day retrieving stories by talking to the deities, everyone’s deities be they wolves, whales, ghosts or gods we investigate trauma and ecstasy sort it out note the overlaps bring it to back to you a gift at your feet so that you know it too
