Over 800 Followers in 38 Days!

My tips will help you get over 800 followers in under 60 days. No joking. Results may vary, and you may even get more than me! All you need to do is follow my strategies and you will be successful, too.

People who have followed me know that I have written multiple articles about getting followers. I laid out my strategies in my article about getting my first 100 followers. Then another article came out when I get my 200th follower. I did still another article when I hit 600 followers. There is a little work involved, folks, and I am encouraging people to do the work, and you, too, will be flying high.

Since I have been on this platform for under 60 days, I have learned that people will follow writers who write. When you are writing, don't write in long rambling sentences, people get bored. Break down the paragraphs.

  1. Start writing. This is where you need to use your creativity to get the inner sparks flying. You don’t need to do SEO here, but just write about what is familiar to you. You can have a captive audience if you write about experiences, or write about what you know. Personally, I would follow writers who can tell me how to sell affiliate products without spending a lot on advertising. I follow all kinds of writers. I often read their comments, and will even read their articles, too. But, alas, I found that often when I click on the writer’s articles, the last post they wrote was back in April or 2 years ago! You can also read what other people have written to get ideas. The sky’s the limit. You can get ideas from news stories as well. One strategy that worked for me was to write an article about my need to get followers. It worked and I got many followers after that. Aim to write an article every day for 30 days. Republish any old articles you wrote and just add newly updated content.
  2. Fix Your Profile. I like to see who I am following and sometimes, I see a profile that is an animal or one-word name. It is vague and not mysterious, at all and comes across as a bot, and doesn’t make me think you are a serious writer. Medium is not a mystery novel unless you are trying to hide a celebrity's name behind your profile. Uploading a real photo and name just makes the community friendly and supportive.
  3. Start Following People. This is where you need to come out of your shell and hit the follow button. It’s easy, but I have seen a few Medium writers not even make that attempt and they were whining to me about their lack of followers. Following is free and it won’t take away your bank account, or take away your soul. I get quite a few readers who ask for a follow from me straight away, without making the effort to follow me first. Afterward, they can ask if I would like to follow them to have access to their articles. When you follow people after reading their articles, there is a great chance they will follow you back. I haven’t got a follow back from former US President Barack Obama yet but I am always hoping. He is a busy man, so I can understand this.
  4. Comment, Engage and Clap. Every time you do this, you make Medium a great community. When you comment on any article like this one, you can state why you liked the article and ask for a follow back from any readers. Mention your niche, if you have any. I would like to add that I like to help anybody in need of followers. Read section 3 again, if necessary.

Now, I would like to thank all my Medium followers and I just have a chance to thank a few who helped me get over 800 followers in under 60 days. A big thanks to: Nuha Khaled, Jamal Ballouk, BS Murthy, Charlie Smith, Carolyn Fields, John Pucadyil, Shelly Freeman, Mst Amena Khatun, Shalini mahalingam, Benjamin Swee, Margoux Castro, Carlos Velasco, Aria Nur Jamal, Jamie Northrup, Vigliarolo Fabio, Gladys Nduku, Niall Leah, Christina DeFeo, Sari Lakkis, Joachim Guth, and so on.

The final advice is to search out other people needing followers, too. You use the search bar to do that. Keep in mind is that getting followers is one thing. You need to get readers, too, in order to make money if you want to be on the Medium Partner Program.
