Our Society Has Metastatic Cancer
We do not need a doctor specialist in government to tell us that.
The United States will die unless we work together to rebuild a healthy society regardless of ideology.
We, the people, need to recapacitate
- what the government is. How the government operates. They are NOT who we follow for direction. They follow us. We have what we have because the first rule in politics, as Mark Twain said, is — “never let the truth get in the middle of a good story.” Too many people today believe the government is there to take care of them. NOTHING CAN BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH.
- Who we are as a people. If there is a root cause of all our ills, it is us. We act like tribes who believe without proof in government systems that have failed every time.
Our government is dissolving in front of our eyes. There is no leadership anywhere from top to bottom. Our weakness is transparent to us and the world. Like a person with Alzheimer’s, who you know was a strong leader, and you do not get the same sense.
It is up to us
The obvious question is, what does the Constitution say about this particular case?
Our country needs a direction towards survival for many reasons.
- We have the heaviest debt ever.
- We have the worst inflation ever.
- We need to understand who drives the economy.
Everybody is suffering, paying for ambitious government agendas built on a swamp of hope and maybe, a prayer.
Direction on this subject is not on the horizon because our leadership has gone silent. We do not know what the plan is to improve the situation. This lack of direction or public acknowledgment is as dangerous as it gets. It is not just us; it is all of the West. Most of the world has depended on our leadership since WW II, and we are not there now. Look how NATO is behaving without us.
Where are We?
Adding to the lack of leadership at the top are us, the citizens of a once, great nation.
Our society today is composed of ideological tribes, keen on throwing moral rocks at each other as if there was something precious to fight for. Without realizing it, it is us we need to fight for.
Furthermore and most tragic, in our social foundation today we have no trust. We have lost all faith in each other, the government, and the institutions.
What is there to fight for?
The list of social changes made by local governments is long.
- Giving criminals a free pass every time they commit a crime
- The legal relaxation on dangerous drugs that are killing our youth
- Our youth looking for an outlet because they do not see a way out of the rut our society is offering them today
- The tent cities we have growing for the poor, most of whom are addicts
- The millions of unqualified illegal immigrants, running through our open borders as fast as they can
- The preferential treatment the ultra-rich get because “their lobbyists” work 24/7 for laws to make them richer
How Did We Get Here?
All of these “ills” are comparable to what cancer is in our body when it invades many organs. It is called “metastatic cancer” (https://www.cancer.gov/types/metastatic-cancer ). Read “How cancer spreads,” the six steps described, are how the rock-throwing spreads from us (blood vessels) through social media (the lymph nodes)). Means, that so many parts of our social body have cancer, there is no way to fix it and, It becomes, “terminal cancer.”
the people we elected to government for the last 50 years have created this because we lost our criteria of how to keep our country strong and prosperous. Instead, we started looking at the government as a rich parent to support us.
All this social messaging accomplishes nothing for “society” except the segregation of people.
The government “people” see this and “shape” their message to fit our demands and get elected.
What “we” are doing does not work. We are being manipulated by the best liars there are.
Where is the Middle Class?
Out of this conversation, the “Middle Class” has not figured. This is the result of a disappearing “Middle Class.”
Victor Hansen, the author of the book “The Citizen” correctly stated:
“You cannot have a citizen unless you have a Middle Class.
Why?
The rich gave enough money and material to excerpt influence and get what they want.
And
The poor will always be dependent on the rich or the government.
But the property owner and workers in the middle class would be economically and politically autonomous and they took on the responsibility to participate in a Constitutional government.
Until 2017 we had 13 years of economic stagnation. Today we have 45% of Americans die with less than $10K in net worth. 50% die with credit card debt. We have 1.7 Trillion in aggregate student debt. 20% of that debt will never be paid back. About 30% is inactive. This has repercussions in the middle class.”
Chances are, many who lived through the 60s and 70s does not recognize our country from what it was prior to the 1970s to what it is today.
It is hard to believe that this could happen here as long as we have people working and a working economy.
Our founders never envision we lose sight of the Constitution and allow “The Federal Government” to become what the 13 states became very fast during the “Articles of the Confederacy” government period. Influenced by the rich, ignoring the middle class and passing exclusive laws for them thus, allowing that influence to enrich the few at the cost of the rest, ditto for large corporations. Today, in essence, we have one whole Nation doing what each state was doing back then.
As Benjamin Franklin exclaimed as he was asked walking out of “Independence Hall after the Constitutional Convention in 1787 when someone shouted, “what kind of government did we get, a republic or a monarchy? He answered, “a Republic if you can keep it.”
Well, we have NOT kept it.
What then?
If there is a revolution to come, it is the people, against the government to pass laws to kill “Lobbyists” and create a mandatory single-term for all of Congress. To start with.
Being in debt of 30 Trillion dollars does not help. The fact that Russia and China have formed a juggernaut also does not help. The fact that China threw a virus on us is par for the course, designed to implode the West. There is nothing better than a weak enemy in deep debt.
Meanwhile, our social fiber is burning and we can’t lift our eyes to see what is really going on with “all of us,” and what kind of leadership WE need to at least keep us working long enough to pull together again. We need to acquire a purpose. And the purpose is to forget ideology and start working to elect governments that will work with the Constitution.
We need to also be aware, that when society is these weak, strong men show up to, “take care of us.” The antithesis of truth. In reality, it is Dante’s inferno reincarnated. That is when the Constitution is dead.
A dictatorship like Hitler’s or Mussolini’s can only happen if the people let it happen. When tanks roll out to protect the White House, we will have in our hands a full-fledged civil war. The armed forces will split into factions and things will turn into ashes before something comes out at the other end. By then, the world will be a totally different place.
On the question asked at the beginning: “what does the Constitution say about this particular case?” We can answer it now.
- in the preamble (the introduction), the first words said are: “We the People of the United States,…” It does NOT say, “we the government…”
- Why do “we” want this? “…to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
The Constitution then says — WE are not doing our JOB!!!
Can we afford to wait that long to impose the Constitution on our government NOW?
They say, “it takes a community to raise a child” well, here we can say, “it takes all of society to raise a good government.”
