Oscar 2024 Nominations: Barbie, Oppenheimer, Poor Things, Killers of the Flower Moon, among others — See full list
Oppenheimer leads with an impressive 13 nominations.
The 96th Academy Awards are scheduled for Sunday, March 10, at the Dolby Theatre in Ovation Hollywood, and will be broadcast live on ABC at 7:00 p.m. ET — an hour earlier than usual. Jimmy Kimmel will host the show for the fourth time. This year’s Oscar contenders have been revealed.
Oppenheimer leads the pack with an impressive and well-deserved 13 nominations, followed by Poor Things, starring Emma Stone, with 11.
Killers of the Flower Moon has secured 10 nominations; however, Leonardo DiCaprio, the lead, was surprisingly omitted from the Best Actor category.
The highest-grossing film of 2023 ($1.44 billion), Barbie garnered 8 nominations. However, it raised eyebrows as the Oscars excluded the lead, Margot Robbie, from the Best Actress, and Greta Gerwig from the Best Director categories.
Anatomy of a Fall, a French film also directed by a woman, received 5 nominations including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress.

Now, I want to hear from you. What are your thoughts on the nominees? Notably, in a movie centered around women like Barbie, both the lead actress and the female director were overlooked. Do you consider it a justified decision? As for Leonardo DiCaprio, do you believe he was unjustly excluded?
